Movie Monday presents Daughter of Chaos, live

Helani Davidson will give an autobiographical performance of her life

On March 10, Movie Monday retires the film projector for its weekly meeting in favour of a live performance.

Helani Davidson will give an autobiographical performance of her life, struggling with her mother’s mental illness, and then her own.

After successfully completing an addiction treatment program, the woman from Salt Spring Island became a counsellor, writer and educator.

After the 70-minute dramatic reading, Davison will lead an audience discussion alongside her own daughter, who grew drew up with two alcohol and drug addicted parents.

Daughter of Chaos takes place at 7 p.m. at the Eric Martin Pavillion in the 1900 block of Fort St. Admission is by donation.
