Outbreaks at three Victoria care homes declared on Thursday, Friday

Ten residents at The Summit, Parkwood Court and Mount. St. Mary Hospital affected

Ten cases of COVID-19 among residents have led to three more outbreaks being declared at Victoria long-term care homes on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s outbreaks cover certain sections of The Summit and Parkwood Court care homes, with four residents testing positive at each site.

The Summit’s outbreak is limited to the Eagle unit, while the outbreak at Parkwood Court applies to the first and second floors.

Two resident cases are linked to an outbreak declared on Friday for the Mount. St. Mary Hospital long-term care home. Only the site’s Cedar House is affected.
