Banner and placard-carrying Earth Walk participants march up Government Street from the legislature Saturday.

The Earth Walk, formerly known as the Peace Walk, celebrated its 30th year in Victoria and is marked in more than 175 countries.

The walk originated as a event to help connect people interested in peace, environmental or social justice issues with groups doing work in those areas.
