Thousands of people lined the sidewalks of Douglas Street Monday morning in downtown Victoria for the 119th annual Victoria Day Parade.

Dozens of floats, marching bands, community groups, armed forces and first responders took part in the event with colourful costumes, historic outfits and classic vehicles. A few of the longtime sponsors also built their own parade floats or dressed up their vehicles to the delight of onlookers.
