A popular plant-based pizza restaurant is opening shop in Victoria.

Virtuous Pie makes hand-crafted vegan pizza and ice cream and has restaurants in Toronto, Portland and Vancouver, but in spring 2019 they plan to open their biggest location yet at 530 Pandora Ave.

The new location’s website boasts that the 2,300 square foot spot will have 61 seats, a 650 sq. ft. patio and a communal bar area.

Some of the most popular pizzas include the “Super Funghi,” made with cashew mozzarella, herbed potato cream and truffle almond ricotta. Or how about the “Ultravolet” pizza, made with walnut and arugula pesto, dried tomatoes, kale and caramelized onions?

The restaurant offers three types of crust: their regular one and two gluten-free options, one for Celiacs and one for people who simply prefer not to eat gluten.

Feeling like ice cream instead? Flavours change daily and include bourbon vanilla, key lime pie, rocky road and “merrion berry.”
