Purse thief sought by Victoria police

VicPD officers are asking for public assistance to solve a robbery that took place June 30

Victoria Police officers are asking for public assistance to solve a robbery that took place June 30 in the 900-block of View Street.

Around 9:30 p.m., a woman was walking along View Street when a man grabbed her purse and escaped.

The suspect is described as First Nations, approximately 20 years old with dark hair and wearing a rusty-coloured shirt and grey baseball cap.

He was last seen around London Drugs at Yates Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call VicPD at 250-995-7654 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
