Temporary closure of Highway 1 at McKenzie set for midnight Friday

Drivers are advised that the closure scheduled for Highway 1 between McKenzie Avenue/Admirals Road and the Helmcken interchange has been rescheduled.

The closure will begin at midnight June 23 and the highway will re-open by 5:30 a.m. on Friday. The closure was originally scheduled to take effect on June 20.

During this time, drivers are asked to use alternative routes and allow for extra time. The Galloping Goose Trail will remain open but pedestrians and cyclists are asked to please watch for signs and workers.
