Construction is set to begin this spring on a new paint and body shop in Victoria.

Construction is set to begin this spring on a new paint and body shop in Victoria meant to boost productivity of one of the busiest transit repair shops in the province.

B.C. Transit’s new paint and body shop will improve the seismic integrity of the transit centre and improve productivity of the shop, where an average of 1,200 jobs are completed every year. The Victoria transit centre shop will also undergo seismic upgrades and retrofitting, along with the construction of a new purpose-built warehouse, which is currently underway in Langford.
