A serious head-on collision occurred around 7:30 pm on Saturday (Dec. 2) on Cadboro Bay Road at Dufferin Avenue, in Oak Bay. The accident resulted in minor injuries and the vehicles suffering extreme damage.
“There is no center line markings at the collision site,” said Deputy Chief Ray Bernoties. “Both motorists felt the other vehicle came out of nowhere.”
There have been four crashes at that intersection between 2011 and 2015.
The intersection was closed for approximately two hours.
Police are investigating. Alcohol was not a contributing factor.
