After the sound of smashing glass woke a downtown resident, he watched a man walk into the Victoria Film Festival office, then walk back out with two iMac computers.

The witness, who lives in the 1200 block of Blanshard Street, called VicPD at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 and described the suspect, as well as his escape route.

Two minutes later, officers were on scene and arrested a man, who was carrying two iMac computers, on View Street.

Police recommended charges of break and enter, and possessing stolen property.

The computers were returned to Film Festival organizers.
