The young Victoria police officer who was stabbed outside a downtown convenience store on Jan. 17 is back to work, performing light duties.

Const. Lane Douglas-Hunt, 24, suffered severe damage to her left hand that required surgery and weeks of rehabilitation.

There’s no word yet on when she’ll return to her normal duties as a patrol officer.

Douglas-Hunt’s alleged attacker, Guy Seguin, is charged with attempted murder. His next court appearance is April 28 for a trial confirmation hearing.
