Police rushed to Vic West when people reported a man on a bus might have a gun.
The incident happened at 4:45 p.m. on April 16. When officers arrived, the suspect ran from the area, clutching his waistband. Soon he was caught and the officers wrestled him into custody.
He allegedly spat at them while they put him in the police car.
No gun was found on the man, or in the surrounding area.
A 26-year-old View Royal man faces charges.
