Mechanical troubles with a City of Victoria garbage truck means residents of Oaklands and Fernwood will have to sit on their garbage for another week. Consider it a test run for the planned change to pick up from once per week, to once every other week.
To compensate for the failure, Oct. 13 will mark "double can day" for the affected residents.
