TV series Gracepoint films on Oak Bay Avenue Friday night

Scenes for the new television series Gracepoint will be shot on Oak bay Avenue tonight which will mean the street will be closed to traffic.

Motorists will have to detour around the Village on Oak Bay Avenue this evening (Friday, February 28) as the road will be closed due to filming for the new television series Gracepoint. the road was expected to be closed at 3pm but delays in filming meant that traffic was still moving through at 4:30.

The tv series, starring David Tennant, Nick Nolte, Anna Gunn and others is being filmed in several locations around greater Victoria. The series is based on the British production Broadchurch which also starred David Tennant in the lead role. Oak bay stands in for Gracepoint a fictional California town.
