Two people are in custody after a drug investigation in downtown Victoria Tuesday morning.

Around 11 a.m., the Victoria Police Department attended a drug investigation at a multi-unit building in the 3000-block of Douglas Street, where they noted a “noxious odour” coming from one of the units.

Two people were believed to be inside the unit.

Several units were evacuated and VicPD called in additional resources including the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT), Victoria Fire and BC Ambulance Service.

The two people found inside the unit were taken into custody without incident.

The file remains under investigation.
