Victoria hit and run suspect sought after pedestrian struck by truck

VicPD ask for the public’s help with incident at Cook and Yates streets

Victoria police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and lcoating the driver of a truck involved in a hit and run incident that happened just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

VicPD responded to a report that a pedestrian was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Cook and Yates streets. The driver of the truck left the scene without speaking with the pedestrian, who was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The truck is described by the victim as an 1980s model GMC or Ford pickup, grey in colour with an extended front bumper, no canopy and possibly a wooden back bumper. There were two persons in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver is described as a Caucasian man, between 50 and 60 years of age, with a grey and white beard.
