A Victoria Police officer was treated in hospital Saturday night after being kicked in the head.
The officer was escorting a violent suspect into a police van when the incident occurred in the 800-block of Esquimalt Rd. around 11 p.m.
Officers were at the location responding to a domestic incident.
A 40-year-old Esquimalt man was arrested for uttering threats, and other charges may be pending.
