Victoria police have learned that Andrew Swanson, who is wanted on warrants for choking related to domestic assault and obstructing police, is alive and well after he was considered missing earlier this week.

“Our officers’ first duty is to protect life and thus confirming his safety and well-being have been our officers’ priority since he was reported missing,” a Friday VicPD release said. “Having confirmed his well-being, our search for him related to his outstanding warrants has resumed.”

Police issued a missing person alert for Swanson on Wednesday (April 21) after he was last seen in Victoria on April 7.

Swanson is described as a 47-year-old Caucasian man with short grey hair and green eyes. He is 5’7” and weighs 170 pounds. Swanson has a tattoo of an eagle on his right forearm.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911. Anyone with information can contact the VicPD report desk at 250-995-7654, ext. 1, or report anonymously to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
