Victoria police seek info on man missing two years

Victoria police are hoping for clues to find a man who hasn’t been seen in more than two years.

Robert Slaughter, a former competitive cyclist, was last seen on April 4, 2009 at his Esquimalt residence. No tips have come in to police since April 2009, said Det. Lori Beauvais.

Slaughter didn’t have his bike when he disappeared. He struggled with substance abuse and was known in the downtown street community.

His family wants to know whether he’s OK.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts or lifestyle can call Beauvais at 250-995-7256 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
