Victoria Police seek public help in bizarre motorcycle collision

July 24 early morning collision appears to have began on Pat Bay Highway: VicPD

VicPD detectives are taking over the investigation into last week’s serious collision at Ogden Point that left a Central Saanich man with life-threatening injuries.

On July 24 around 7:20 a.m., VicPD responded to a motorcycle and SUV collision in the parking lot at Ogden Point.

Initial reports suggested the 55-year-old Central Saanich man, who was the rider of the motorcycle, was hit from behind by an SUV driven by a 55-year-old Sidney man.

Police have since determined that the two drivers may have been involved in an altercation that began on the Pat Bay Highway near the Royal Oak exit.

VicPD detectives are now looking for anyone who may have seen the two vehicles along the driving route.

The route the two vehicles believed to have taken is as follows (see the map below):

-Pat Bay Highway continuing into Blanshard Street

-From Blanshard Street, right turn onto Belleville Street

-From Belleville Street, left turn onto Oswego Street

-From Oswego Street, right turn onto Dallas Road
