A Greater Victoria cycling advocacy group’s distinctive custom cargo bike – stolen from outside its office – has now been recovered, says the Victoria Police Department.
The distinctive electric bike was parked outside Capital Bike on Hillside Avenue when it was stolen June 20 between 1 and 8 a.m., the non-profit group said in a callout on social media.
The green-framed bike features a huge wooden cargo box in front and is branded on all sides with the Capital Bike blue logos.
These videos show the person who stole our beloved cargo bike. Note the thief's bag of tools, the bike he's riding, and how quickly he broke through our two $200+ locks. If you see this man, his bike, or ours, please call Vic PD at 250-995-7654. See more videos on our FB or IG. pic.twitter.com/qRL4xQualf
