West Shore RCMP launch traffic crackdown

Island Highway and Wale Road, Sooke Road and Aldeane Avenue, Highland Road in View Royal, and Sooke Road from Glen Lake to Awsworth roads

West Shore RCMP are targeting roads across the West Shore this week looking for speeders, distracted drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts.

The RCMP traffic section will be at various intersections, including Island Highway and Wale Road, and Sooke Road and Aldeane Avenue. Officers will also be patrolling locations along Highland Road in View Royal, and Sooke Road from Glen Lake to Awsworth roads in Langford.

RCMP officers will be out various hours throughout the day and night.
