Woman breaks nose in fight

A catfight at an Esquimalt house got out of control last weekend, landing one woman in hospital and two in jail.

Police were called to the 600-block of Constance Avenue at 3:30 a.m., just after the fight ended. A 19-year-old woman was lying on the street.

It started when she and another woman got into a spat, then a third woman joined in. People at the house said the one woman was kicked and stomped on the ground.

Officers arrested Kessiah Shusterman, 23, and Hailey Lagos, 22, nearby to the party. They were both charged with assault. The other woman was treated in hospital for a broken hose and bruises, and released.
