Wounded Warriors cross finish line in Colwood

Runners covered 600 kilometres in six days, running the length of Vancouver Island relay style.

Wounded Warriors Steve Deschamps and Allan Kobayashi arrive in Colwood on the final day of their 600 kilometre B.C. run to raise awareness and funds to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Wounded Warriors B.C. Run came to a close Friday as the participating veterans crossed the finish line at Sauders Subaru in Colwood.

Runners covered 600 kilometres in six days, running the length of Vancouver Island relay style, with the runners coming into Colwood having covered the final potion of the run Friday.

Families of the runners, along with dignitaries, veterans and other supporters greeted the runners as they made their final steps. The run is held to raise awareness of the hardships of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and to raise money for veterans.
