Another vote against Oak Bay deer cull

Culling deer is not humane, no matter how it's done

There is nothing humane about culling deer, just because some feel there are too many of them.

They have just as much right to be on this Island as we do as they were likely here first and we are living in their garden. We do not have the moral right to shoot them with a bolt gun or any gun just because they act like deer.

I do not believe Oak Bay council has final say on this cull, as wildlife management is not a municipal power. Therefore, I have a ray of hope it will not happen.
