I write in defence of the Friends of Shoal Harbour.
When finally there are no more butterflies, the last song bird has sung and when shore birds do not appear — at that point, in perhaps the not too distant future, do we then understand what we have lost.
But not to worry, we will still have the Sidney Beacon shopping mall so beloved by the movers and shakers of this enclave. The sculptures along the sea wall will at least provide perches for the seagulls until they too become the last to leave.
