LETTER: Learn from amalgamation mistakes

Instead of trying to re-invent the wheel to study amalgamation, try asking those who have already gone through it

Re: Question of amalgamation (Our View, Nov. 19)

Rather than spending millions trying to reinvent the wheel or “studying” amalgamation to the nth degree, why not examine how Calgary and other successful cities have handled this problem, as well as some of the “failures” such as Toronto?

I’m sure these cities would be happy to share any information.
