Lowering speed limits on Malahat safest bet

Putting up new speed limit signs shouldn't be too expensive, reader writes

For anyone really watching it is abundantly clear the all too many tragedies on the Malahat are attributed to nothing more than excessive speed.

How many more dollars will be spent before the province spends a few bucks on new speed limit signs? Seventy kilometres per hour, start to finish, should do it.

By then the idiots I see chasing and challenging one another can grind their teeth, pull out their hair and make it easier to be spotted and stopped. How many accidents, injuries and deaths are we looking at in one year?
