PENINSULA: Avoid the unpleasant surprises

We are young people who want to enjoy the park by playing Frisbee, soccer or other outdoor activities — without any unpleasant surprises.

We are students from North Saanich Middle School and we are writing to you because we have noticed animal droppings all around public parks. Although there are many responsible dog owners, there are some dog owners who don’t pick up their dog’s dropping after they “do their business.”

We can think of two ways to fix this problem: enforcing the bylaw, and; putting more doggy bag dispensers in parks with more public garbage cans.
