PENINSULA: Canora traffic woes

I believe this is an accident just waiting to happen. Local municipalities need to work on this along with the airport authority.

I have a concern about the lack of a pedestrian crossing on Canora Road between Weiler Avenue and Northbrook Drive.

Traffic is particularly problematical between Mary’s Restaurant and Northbrook Drive.

Traffic comes and goes from Norseman Road and an adjacent parking lot opposite Northbrook Drive. Traffic enters and departs from Mary’s Restaurant. Two bus stops are located in the area and a school also uses this zone. Pedestrians also have to negotiate the airport’s new Flight Path. At the beginning and end of the workday the traffic is particularly heavy and fast moving.

I believe this is an accident just waiting to happen. Local municipalities need to work on this along with the airport authority.
