A property owner does not get a tax credit for having a horse on their property. Horses are very expensive to purchase and to keep. Most people have them because they love and ride them.
Horses are quite content if they have good food, fresh water and shelter from rain and the hot sun. Don’t pity them because they stand in the same place staring into space.
They are probably sleeping with their eyes open as it is a part of their fright and flight instinct from ancient times.
Maybe the horses Mr. Johansson are worried about are retired.
