Posties’ strike-lockout a hardship, violation

B.C. Unions, strike, lockout

I am not sure if I am out of line but I see this Canada Post strike-lockout that ended Monday as a big problem.

There are important letters. There are emotional letters and letters that could save someone’s life. There are letters with cheques for a job well done. There are letters with instructions. There are letters with last wishes or a kind word.

All those letters were almost two weeks late. Only God knows how much damage those undelivered envelopes and packages have done to us. Does anyone care? Does our government care? Is there an institution that cares?

I always thought that a letter kept or stolen was a federal offense. Well guess what, we were all robbed and the federal government doesn’t care.

It’s a shame living in such times. I was under the impression we should be on a much higher plane of existence in the 21st century.
