Trustees have duty to protect kids

Re: Wi-Fi to stay in schools despite health concerns (News, March 9)

The job of the Greater Victoria school district Wi-Fi committee is to make recommendations for managing the risk of wireless technology.

This means listening to all public input, considering potential consequences of doing nothing, and to manage the risk of this controversial technology at reduced levels.

School trustees have an awesome responsibility. They must put first things first, and this means doing no harm, especially to the most vulnerable – our children and grandchildren.

It is critical our trustees do the right thing.
