Victoria needs to rethink James Bay speed limit plan

Enforcement and fines only solution for excessive speeders

Re: City eyes lower speed limits in James Bay (News, Aug. 16)

The idea of lowering speed limits to make neighborhoods safer simply won’t fly, especially to those that drive at excessive speeds on the street where I live.

Does anyone really think these people, or drivers in general, pay any attention to posted speed limits, unless there are enforcement and fines?
