VicPD like other Canadian police services have many areas of expertise. Victoria’s is the use of excessive force.
Excessive force is the result of two things: the thug-like mentality that comes with zero-tolerance policing; and police management who set the standard.
VicPD with eventually run out of spin and will then be forced to look at how it provides policing.
As a former cop, here is a tip that will keep you away from being a victim of a violence: stay away from VicPD.
