Game night for Grizzlies, Clippers

At times the Grizzlies vs. Clippers isn't the biggest Island rivalry but it's game on with Nanaimo winning three of five October meetings

If any team has the Victoria Grizzlies number right now its the Nanaimo Clippers.

The Clippers visit Bear Mountain Arena tonight for the sixth meeting between the two teams in the past month.

Nanaimo won the last encounter, 3-2 in Nanaimo on Friday, and own a 3-2 edge in the season series. Friday was only the Grizzlies second loss in the past 11 games, having won nine of those games since opening the season at 0-5.

The streak has moved the Grizz’ (9-7) to within one point of the Powell River Kings (9-5-1) for first in the Coastal conference.
