The Victoria Commonwealth Bulldogs district school team is back in training for the high school wrestling season.

The Bulldogs, former home of this months’ world wrestling championship silver medalist Stacie Anaka, is a team dedicated to serving the athletes from the many middle and high schools in Greater Victoria without a wrestling program.

New athletes are welcome.

Practice times are Tuesday and Thursday each week from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill middle school, 3910 Cedar Hill Rd.

Reynolds secondary and Esquimalt High run two of the city’s only wrestling teams.
