Junior Shamrocks end close game tied with Timbermen

B.C. Lacrosse Association pre-season scrimmage close throughout

Ryan Lewis and Karver Everson each had three goals to lead the Victoria junior Shamrocks’ attack in an 11-11 tie with the Nanaimo junior Timbermen in B.C. Lacrosse Association exhibition play last night in Chemainus.

Also chipping in for the Shamrocks were Cole Pickup with two goals, McLean Chicquen, Aiden Paike and Matt Hamilton with singles and Max Fredrickson with four assists.

The game, played at Fuller Lake Arena and hosted by the Cowichan Lacrosse Association, was close throughout and saw the lead change hands many times.

Cody Shires, Brett Hawrys and Travis Mickelson paced the Timbermen with two goals each.

The Shamrocks open the regular season on the road in Langley on April 27 then play their home opener May 3 against Coquitlam at The Q Centre.
