BC Little League Provincial Championships

Close to 1,000 eager little league fans gathered at Hampton Little League Park in Saanich over the long weekend to take in the B.C. Little League Provincial Championships.

Saturdays game between Hastings and Layritz was a nail biter, with the Vancouver team eking out a 3-1 victory over the Saanich side.

On Sunday, Hastings stepped up to the plate against Langley, but the Fraser Valley club slugged away for a 6-2 win to earn the B.C. Little League Provincial Championships title.

Langley now moves on to the Canadian Championships in North Vancouver, Aug 6 – 14, at Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park.

Mount Seymour hosts six teams from across the country in a round robin playoff schedule to determine the Canadian Little League Champion.
