Players sought for ‘bubble’ soccer

Players are encased in an inflated bubble from the knees up

Bubble Soccer is the newest sport craze and the Victoria Sport and Social Club will offer the first league of its kind on the Island.

The sport puts a collision-inducing spin on soccer.

Players compete in soccer, following most of the traditional rules, with one major exception: they’re encouraged to knock their opponents to the ground. That’s because each player is encased in an inflated bubble from the knees up, safeguarding them from injury while fulfilling their dreams of living as a hot air balloon or bumper car.

Registration closes Nov. 3, but only two individual and one team spot remain. Leagues start Nov. 6.

To register, please go online to vssc.ca/register.
