Rebels left without a home

The Westshore Rebels football club is shy on billet families and other volunteers

The Westshore Rebels football club is seeking families to take in a player for the season.

Any family that billets a player gets $500 a month for room and board. Most of the players are 17 to 19 years old.

“The players are supposed to be role models for kids and to blend in with the family,” said Rebels past president Roger Wade. “I’ve had half a dozen billets over the years and I still keep in contact with all of them.”

The Rebels also seek sponsorship through local businesses and stadium volunteers.
