Royals send goalie Jayden Sittler to Lethbridge

Victoria Royals deal goalie Jayden Sittler to the Letbridge Hurricanes for draft pick in WHL trade action

The Victoria Royals announced that the club has acquired a seventh round pick in the 2016 Western Hockey League bantam draft from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 18-year-old goaltender Jayden Sittler.

Sittler joined the Royals in October 2014 after a trade with the Kootenay Ice. The native of Red Deer, AB has played in 10 games for Victoria and has posted a 2-6-0-0 record with a 2.29 goals against average (GAA), a 0.921 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout.

The 6-0, 184 lb netminder played in one game for the Ice last season and made 17 saves in the victory.

The Royals are back in action tonight to take on the seventh ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Victoria will close out their seven game homestand with a two-game series against BC Division rivals the Prince George Cougars tomorrow and Saturday. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. for all three games.
