Salmon Kings on thin ice: Aces lead series 3-0

Is this the end? Monday could be Salmon Kings last game ever

Their run is a heart warming one and their games are electric but the reality is Monday could be the Victoria Salmon Kings last-ever game in Victoria should they lose to the Alaska Aces.

Alaska beat the Kings 6-2 on Saturday night to take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven ECHL Kelly Cup playoff’s Western final series.

Alaska is looking to clinch a spot against the winner of the Eastern final between the Wheeling Nailers and Kalamazoo Wings.

Game 4 of the Salmon Kings and Aces goes 7:05 p.m. Monday night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

More to come.
