Sweden emerge victorious, knock off Canada for World Men’s Curling Championship

In two weeks Team Sweden won the Victoria Curling Classic and World Curling Championship

On Sunday night Team Sweden’s Niklas Edin rink emerged the winner of the 2013 World Men’s Curling Championship, defeating Canada’s Jacobs gang, 8-6 in the gold medal final.

Edin and crew arrived just over two weeks ago and won the Victoria Curling Classic.

By making it to the final, the Brad Jacobs rink qualified Canada for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
