Victoria HarbourCats play midweek series at RAP

Undefeated West Coast League newcomers take on Medford Rogues at RAP

Coming off a home sweep of the Kelowna Falcons, the Victoria HarbourCats face fellow expansion team the Medford (Ore.) Rogues in week 2 of West Coast League baseball action at Royal Athletic Park.

The HarbourCats play Game 1 of the three-game set tonight, with Games 2 and 3 scheduled for tonight (June 12) and tomorrow at 7:05 p.m.

Hitting leaders for Victoria after the first week included David Schuknech (.500) and local product Austin Russell (.364).

Another Victoria product, 6-4, 200-pound right-handed pitcher Connor Russell (no relation to Austin), looked sharp in his first start last week, scattering four hits and one earned run in 7-1/3 innings of work in a 4-2 HarbourCats win over Kelowna on Thursday.
