Call out for Africa-bound bicycles

They might have extended their useful life here, but in Namibia they could be used by villagers to pick up food, fuel and water.

Used bicycles are being collected by the non-profit Bicycles for Humanity, May 22 at William Stevenson Park, in Fernwood.

B4H is seeking mountain bikes in good condition, spare parts and financial contributions. It aims to ship 600 bikes per year, at $35 a piece.

The drive takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit www. bicycles-for-humanity-org.
