The B.C. Lions Society’s annual Chip In for the Kids returns this weekend

The B.C. Lions Society’s annual Chip In for the Kids returns this weekend.

On Jan. 3 and 4, residents can dispose of their Christmas tree in an environmentally-friendly way at one of six recycling depots around Greater Victoria.

Money raised goes to support Easter Seals programs and services on the Island.

Lions Club members, along with volunteers from Davey Tree Expert and Western Island Tree Service will accept Christmas trees in exchange for a donation at the following locations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Broadmead Village Shopping Centre

• Save-On-Foods, Fort Street and Foul Bay Road

• Westshore Town Centre

• University Heights Shopping Centre

• Sooke Home Hardware

• Tillicum Shopping Centre
