Victoria Downtown Residents Association talks sewage

Group hosts public forum on sewage treatment in the Capital Regional District on April 2

The Victoria Downtown Residents Association will host a public forum on sewage treatment in the Capital Regional District on April 2, at the Victoria Event Centre.

The event is the third in the Victoria Matters series, which aims to inform and engage Victorians on important issues facing the city.

Speakers include: Albert Sweetnam, director of Seaterra; Victoria Coun. Geoff Young; Richard Atwell, director, Sewage Treatment Action Group; and Saanich Coun. Vic Derman.

Speakers’ presentations will be followed by audience questions. Questions for speakers can be submitted in advance to info@victoriadra.ca with the subject line Sewage Treatment Questions.

The event is free and open to the public and begins at 7 p.m. The Victoria Event Centre is located at 1415 Broad St.
