Victoria residents association to host housing affordability forum

Event is the second on the Victoria Matters speakers series

The Victoria Downtown Residents Association is hosting a public forum on housing affordability Jan. 30 at the Victoria Event Centre, 1415 Broad St.

The event is the second in the Victoria Matters series, which aims to inform and engage Victorians on important issues facing the city. Speakers will discuss the history of housing policy in B.C. and Canada and explore affordable housing solutions.

The panel includes Linda Allen of CitySpaces Consulting, Bernie Pauly of the University of Victoria and Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness, Kaye Melliship of the Greater Victoria Housing Society and Marika Albert of the Community Social Planning Council of Greater Victoria.

The free event begins at 7 p.m.
