World Refugee Day to be celebrated at library

World Refugee Day brings opportunities to learn about refugee experiences

World Refugee Day will be celebrated in the courtyard of the Greater Victoria Public Library Central Branch on Saturday (June 20).

The public event includes arts-based activities, a kids’ zone, food and live music. It runs from noon to 5 p.m.

World Refugee Day brings opportunities to learn about refugee experiences, celebrate the accomplishments of residents who have come to Canada as refugees, and share ideas on how to work together with refugees and others seeking protection in order to make the community stronger and more welcoming.
